On the occasion of the Italian Food Festival from 21 to June 23, 2019 , the bar of the Hardturm stadium will be the site of all pizza lovers. Pizza chefs from all over Switzerland will test their skills at a professional jury Saturday 22 June 2019 and Sunday 23 June 2019 from 11:00 to 22:00 b>. The winners can therefore be called Swiss Champion.
The Pizza Cup Chef Swiss Cup is organized in collaboration with the organizer Komplex AG and the International Federation of Pizza Masters. Through the years of the know-how of the world pizza champion Raffaele Tromiro, a jury of 13 members, composed of masters of their trade, has been combined with the committee of the Italian Food Festival.
The Neapolitan pizza maker Luciano Sorbillo is certainly one of the most famous faces of this year’s jury. Candidates compete in the first Swiss Pizzaiolo Cup in three different categories: „Pizza classic“, „Pizza alla pala“ and „Pizza Margherita STG“. The competition should reflect the latest trends, taking into account the traditional variations of pizzas. Particular emphasis is placed on authenticity and taste. The overall score for pizza in each category consists of the tasting and cooking notes.
The first three (to score) Winner of all three disciplines will be announced in a ceremony on Sunday, June 23, 2019, on the occasion of the Italian Food Festival to the Swiss champion, the Swiss vice-champion and third place and bring this title a year.
